Since 2022, we have successfully supported HYBE’s annual global idol audition programs by designing a UX that reflects the distinctive voting culture of K-pop fandom. We optimized the UX to ensure that global fans can participate seamlessly and intuitively on both the Weverse app and web, ultimately driving higher engagement and increasing voter participation.


This project goes beyond simple feature development. It exemplifies how analyzing fandom behavior patterns and addressing UX differences across regions can enhance the collective participatory experience for a global audience.

Since its first implementation in September 2022, the voting system has been utilized in multiple HYBE global audition programs, including The Dream Academy in 2024. For example, more than 1.19 million votes from worldwide have been collected in the first-round voting in The Dream Academy audition program, demonstrating strong engagement from the global fandom.
